In February, Switzerland’slower chamber of Parliament passed a proposal to legalize adult-use cannabis. Soon, the voters in this EU-independent country of almost 9 million will be able to vote on the measure.
The proposal would allow adults who are over 18 years old to grow three plants for their own cannabis consumption. Adults would also be allowed to purchase cannabis from government-owned and controlled locations. The overarching goal is to allow adults to use cannabis while not allowing the activity to become commercialized or glamorized to promote profits. Sounds very sensible.
