On December 4, Bitcoin broke the $100K barrier. It went as high as $103,844 the next day. As of December 9, it was down around $97K.
Residents in two rural US towns, Granbury, Texas and Brunswick, Maine have experienced some negative impacts from bitcoin mines in their area. Some residents have been reporting migraines, elevated blood pressure, rapid heat beats to 200 beats per minute, fluid running from the ears, hearing loss, vertigo, nausea, and more. Residents in parts of Arkansas and North Dakota also have experienced the same adverse impacts from local bitcoin mining.
