Construction costs make housing prices out of reach for far too many. MiTek is a Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary that was bought by Warren Buffet’s portfolio in 2001. Twenty years later, they have partnered with Danny Forster Architecture to launch the Modular Initiative to bring more sustainable, more affordable and even “stackable” multi-family housing and buildings to a global audience. This initiative was announced in May, and AGREEN1 will track this well financed initiative, which aims to help communities provide sustainable and affordable housing and more well-paying jobs.
