Our Earth had a visitor yesterday. An asteroid that scientists are calling a “mini moon” is rendevousing with the Earth’s orbit, and is going to be trapped in Earth’s gravitation field for about 2 months (57 days).
Space rock 2024 PT5 cannot be seen by the naked eye, only with a large professional telescope. It is around 33 feet in diameter. Scientists say the mini moon is actually orbiting our Sun and is just in sync with our planet for those 2 months. Space rcok 2024 PT5 will be back in 2055.
