Young protesters around the globe showed up at COP26 in Scotland last month. They think world leaders have not taken the necessary actions to tackle climate change. Among the protesters was Patience Nabukalu, a 24-year-old climate change activist from Uganda, Laura Aguilar from Colombia, Xiye Bastida from Mexico, Brianna Fruean from Samoa, Swedish Greta Thunberg, and Txai Surui from Brazil.Â
In May, Madeline Ruddell, 16, of the Sunrise Movement of Sonoma County was one of seven youth activists dedicated to a 266 mile over 2 1/2 weeks to highlight the need for a Civilian Climate Corps to help reduce fire risk in California.
