On so many levels, Denmark deserves a big round of applause. First, it was ranked as the second most happy country on Earth (second to another Nordic country,Norway).
This link has the entire list, here are a few notable rankings:
1-Finland 2-Denmark 3-Iceland 4-Sweden 5-Netherlands 10-Mexico 24-USA 40-Italy 66-Russia.
Denmark is also passing legislation to ban mobile phones at schools and after school programs for children 7-17 years old. After extensive research, the very pro-government country discovered that cell phones do more damage than good for their younger populations.
Denmark seems to understand the true value of humans as resources, and businesses in the country provide excellent work-life-balance to reduce personal stress and to support family life and interconnectiveness. Coming to work sick in Denmark is considered very poor manners, and employees are encouraged to stay home and recover quickly.
The average work week is 37 hours, and all employees are ensured 5 weeks of paid vacation every year. Danish GDP is high, and Danes are the third-most productive workers in Europe (Ireland and Luxembourg have higher GPDs). People in Denmark are more productive than workers in Canada, Japan, and Australia.
