Lex Corwin wanted to grow cannabis that could be commercially affordable and accessible using sustainable planting practices. In 2016, he took steps to build an off-grid biodynamic cannabis farm called Stone Road that uses underground water from an artesian well and natural sunlight to turn month-old seedlings into towering cannabis plants. Stone Road also grows plants on living soil and uses living organisms to control pests rather than synthetic pesticides.
The company said that its packaging is 99% recyclable and made from 100% post-consumer recycled goods. Stone Road now has its products in over 120 retail outlets in California and 55 in Oklahoma. The sustainable very green farm is in Nevada City, California, and they allow visitors from May to September if you call ahead.
