Perhaps the United States federal government is finally embracing the cannabis industry. The Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced that he is introducing the Cannabis Administration and Opportunity Act (CAOA) in April. The CAOA will remove cannabis from the US Controlled Substances Act to make it legal at the federal level, and erase federal non-violent marijuana-related crimes. Great news for the newly regulated industry that is now legal in eighteen U.S. states and Washington D.C.
