About the Wednesday Interview Issues…

We will share exclusive interviews with the top brass in forward-leaning companies, giving our readers the opportunity to learn about successful enterprises that are destined for even greater success.

AGREEN1 recently conducted an interview with Josh Crossney, Director of Cannabis Events with MJH Life Sciences. Josh launched the Cannabis Science Conference in 2016. It was acquired by MJH Life Sciences this year, the world’s leading healthcare media organization with over 1,200 meetings and live events every year.

Here is Part 2 of our interview.

AGREEN1: What’s on your agenda for this year?

JOSH: There’s so much happening in 2022, and yes, I’ll give you all the details. Coming up in May is the 2022 Cannabis Science Conference West. It will be held at the Long Beach Convention Center May 18-20.

AG1: What types of speakers will there be?

JOSH: Lots of doctors! For example, Dr. Bonni Goldstein is an MD, and she is the Medical Director of Canna-Centers Wellness & Education. It’s a California-based medical practice devoted to educating patients about the use of cannabis for serious and chronic medical conditions. She has a special interest in treating children with intractable epilepsy, autism, cancer and other conditions. She will describe her experience.

AG1: That makes me think of Sophie Ryan and her story with brain cancer.

JOSH: Funny you should mention that. Dr. Anahid Jewett is another speaker. She is a UCLA School of Dentistry and Medicine Professor and she is also the Director of Tumor Immunology Laboratory. She will discuss her journey with Sophie, Sophie’s mother and their road to treat Sophie’s cancer with cannabis.

AG1: Anything on the endocannabinoid system?

JOSH: That’s a good word for your readers to learn. It’s a very important system and yet it’s never taught in school! Every mammal has an endocannabinoid system (ECS) which controls and regulates so many functions related to pain, temperature control, immunity, sleep, eating, inflammation, memory and more. Dr. Swathi Varanasi is a pharmacist who specializes in integrative health. She has vast knowledge of how cannabis is beneficial on multiple levels. She is the Chief Scientific Officer of Element Apothec. She will cover the endocannabinoid system, emotional dysregulation, and the gut-brain axis.

AG1: Can anyone attend, is it open to the public?

JOSH: It sure is. This is the link to purchase tickets: Register. It’s informative and the environment is very supportive. We always have plenty of celebrities attending who love cannabis and science separately and even more so when it’s mixed together. They all have positive personal stories about how cannabis helped them.
