Finally, the US is making some much-needed headway in using renewable energy sources. As reported by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA), in the first half of 2023, the US generated 25% of its energy using renewable energy sources. The combination of wind and solar energy created over 17% of output. While solar contributed just 5.8%, it made the greatest increase.
With a goal of 80% renewable energy sources for the US’s total consumption by 2030; it’s time to go full throttle.
