Many tech giants have promoted Metaverse this year. Facebook, now “Meta” in particular, is investing big in the upcoming feature. Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg believes Metaverse will positively influence how people use social media. However, data engineer and Facebook’s whistleblower Frances Haugen thinks otherwise.
On November 9, Frances Haugen spoke with the Association Press in Brussels, expressing her concerns about Metaverse and how it will rob people of more personal information and give Facebook Inc another option at exclusive control of the internet.
