The difficulty conceiving is climbing. Infertility affects 1 in 6 people globally according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Factors range from obesity, older ages, environmental toxicity, and stress.
In California, two ladies, one of them an OB/GYN doctor, created a website to help ladies have a healthy pregnancy. Their website is called Perelel and it provides, amongst other things, a list of ingredients pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid.
Their list of 15 potentially toxic ingredients was created by their team of doctors and resident toxicologist. They refer to it as the Unclean 15—a list of potentially toxic, unsafe ingredients to avoid when you’re trying to conceive, during pregnancy, and while breastfeeding. They also have an interactive Label Check section where you type in the ingredient and check if it’s safe to use.
