The invention of wearable health & fitness electronics has significantly improved healthcare. Think about it, Smartwatches enable people to monitor their heart rhythms, check their cholesterol and sugar levels, and even keep track of their fitness. These incredible tech devices are just getting started with what they can do in the future.
A research group from the U.S. Department of Energy and the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering (PME) is developing a new skin-like wearable device to detect health conditions before obvious symptoms appear. The device will also be able to analyze health data without human intervention. The AI technology used is called “neuromorphic computing.” The research is titled: “Intrinsically Stretchable Neuromorphic Devices for On-Body Processing of Health Data with Artificial Intelligence.” Now that could use an acronym! Is this something you look forward to?
