The founder and CEO of No Meat Athlete, Matt Frazier, says the belief that plant-based dieting is not ideal for athletes is wrong. Matt is a vegan marathoner and ultra-runner who qualified for the prestigious Boston Marathon after going plant-based in March 2009. According to Matt, plant-based diets are helping several professional athletes to thrive in their training, such as Rich Roll, Natalie Mathews, Strongman Patrik Baboumian, Cam Newton, Serena Williams, Scott Jurek, and co-captain of the U.S. Women’s Soccer team Alex Morgan.

Matt has written a book for athletes looking to go plant-based called The Plant-Based Athlete: A Game-Changing Approach to Peak Performance. It will be available in stores on June 15.
