New Jersey is very committed to its goal of 7,500 megawatts of offshore wind by 2035. Recently, the state’s Board of Public Utilities approved the construction of two more offshore wind farms. The state’s first offshore wind farm, Ocean Wind was approved in 2019, and it will generate 1,100 megawatts of electricity. The Atlantic Shores wind farm will produce an additional 1,558 megawatts of clean energy. Both farms should be operational by 2029. Congratulations to the Garden State.
