Gotham Greens, a sustainable indoor farm based in New York, has raised over $310 million in a Series E funding round. The company attracted new investors in the round, including BMO Impact Investment Fund, owned by the Bank of Montreal, which led the round. Gotham Greens is now worth $440 million and plans to use the funds to expand nationwide. It is constructing new green farms in Texas, Georgia, and Colorado and is expanding its existing facilities in Chicago and Rhode Island.
Gotham Greens targets to produce 100 million heads of lettuce annually using 95% less water and 97% less land and expects to create more and more clean, green jobs.
