On February 7, Microsoft Inc. launched the all-new, AI-powered Bing search engine and Edge app. On the tech company’s website, it explains:

“What is the new Bing? The new Bing is like having a research assistant, personal planner, and creative partner at your side whenever you search the web. With this set of AI-powered features, you can: Ask your actual question. When you ask complex questions, Bing gives you detailed replies. Get an actual answer. Bing looks at search results across the web to offer you a summarized answer. Be creative. When you need inspiration, Bing can help you write poems, stories, or even share ideas for a project.”

For example, the AI internet assistant will relieve you from the stress of opening and going through each page on the web to get answers to any question. It will review results from the web and show you a summarized answer. You can also chat with the AI to enable you to have more concrete interactions with the web to get the best of anything from it.

The AI technology, however, still needs more work. For example, Bing AI argued with some users they were still in 2022, and provided false business results for various companies. As a result, Microsoft said it would make the necessary improvements to the technology. If made perfect, not only will the technology improve our internet experience, but it will also transform how people interact with the web.
