Discussions about climate change have continued more seriously in the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) because the world has experienced more and more disasters faster than ever lately. Record wind storms and tornadoes in the U.S., devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Cuba, and landslides in Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Malawi, to name a few.
In the Synthesis Report of the Sixth Assessment published recently, the IPCC said that we are far off track, but it also noted that there is a slight hope for us if we double our efforts in reducing our emissions. We need to move faster in our transition to electrification, reduce our food and material waste, and adopt more sustainable lifestyles, along with other efforts.
