With over 10 million inhabitants, Portugal broke a new national record. For six consecutive days from October 31 to November 6, Portugal supplied their power grid with 100% renewable energy. It broke the last record of 131 continuous hours in 2019, now with 149 hours in 2023.
According to Canary Media, Portugal’s EDP Renewables said; “And we were producing with a positive impact to the consumers because the prices have dropped dramatically, almost to zero.”
