Spanish media outlets sue Meta

Meta is the parent company of Facebook, and it is being sued by over 80 media companies in Spain. The plaintiffs want $600 million for unfair competition practices and claim Meta is in violation of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulations that were established in 2018.

The global social media giant that started out as a college technology as a way to scan women to date, has really become a bit of a Frankenstein monster. That is something we can all control by either speaking out or refusing to use very much at all. We all have choices, let’s start using them better.
