In May, Apple introduced two new training and certification programs, the Apple Device Support and Apple Development & Management, to teach people how to deploy, manage, and support Apple devices. The two courses are sequential and require that participants write exams (costing $149 each) after each program to become certified. The Apple Device Support, the first course, is about 14 hours. It covers tools, services, and best practices for Apple products. The second course, the Apple Development & Management, teaches how to configure, manage, and secure Apple products using Mobile Device Management. It runs for about 13 hours also.

Those interested in the program can apply on training.apple.com. For students in Apple’s Community Education Initiative who are interested in the program, Apple is offering them scholarships covering the cost of the exams. Non-CEI persons with financial difficulties can inquire with Mac Admins Foundation to help pay the fees.
