The good news is that the International Maritime Organization (IMO) has plans to clean up its act. The IMO is committed to a goal of reducing commercial shipping GHG emissions by 40% by 2030. It’s a tough target to beat, but necessary as over 80% of global trade travels on the waterways of the world.
