Canadian singer Shawn Mendes, who called for climate activism during his 2019 tour in Brazil, has landed a multi-tier deal with Tommy Hilfiger to help promote sustainability in fashion and confront the debilitating effects of touring on the environment.

The Play It Forward collaboration launched this May and is comprised of clothes made from organic cotton and sustainable denim, including the remake of Tommy’s 1985 Program collection. Tommy Hilfiger also announced Mendes will co-design the capsule collection launching in Spring 2023, and the brand will donate $1 million to help offset the environmental impact of Mendes’ world tour starting in June. Both parties expect the deal to last for years, aiming to bring more sustainable clothing to the forefront.
