As soon as this month, the U.S. Drug and Enforcement Administration (DEA) is looking to reschedule cannabis (marijuana) from a Schedule I drug to a Schedule III drug. Doing so will help the cannabis industry with banking, and, more importantly, it will allow more research to be conducted on the benefits of the plant.

Almost two years ago, the Biden Administration requested the DEA to review how cannabis can be rescheduled. AGREEN1 has been covering this issue closely for the past 3 years. Now, with 24 states and the District of Columbia having already legalized adult use of cannabis, it looks like the DEA is getting on the right side of justice.
