Parenting children as a single mother is challenging, and nothing is more stressful than having a full-time job in addition to parenting children. As a result, many single mothers have sought a way to manage their lives-to raise their children adequately, focus on their jobs, and stay happy.

Danielle Simone Brand, a journalist in California and mother of two children, experienced the challenge of living a healthy and stable life while keeping up with her duties as a parent and handling her job effectively. Thanks to California for legalizing cannabis in 2016, Danielle found refuge in cannabis which helped her maintain a stable life.

After Danielle published her book Weed Mom, she found several women speaking up about how cannabis helps them parent also. She created a coalition of women online, called the ‘Cannamoms’, and it is giving voice to many women worldwide. This group currently aims to remove the stigma surrounding the therapeutic benefits of cannabis.
