Stellantis has rolled out $2.8 billion (3.7 billion CAD) to restructure and retool its Windsor and Brampton assembly plants in Canada. The investment marks Stellantis’ first step in its Dare Forward 2030 Strategic plan and electrification strategy.
The European automaker plans to use the plants to make some hybrid and battery-electric vehicles (BEV). The automaker will also expand its Windsor-based Automotive Research and Development Centre (ARDC) as it looks to make the facility its first battery lab in North America.
