AGREEN1 has been following JOBY for over three years. In December, the eVTOL air taxi company entered the final stage of certification from the FAA. This means the world is getting closer to passengers traveling on short trips in the air.

Joby, the California-based visionary, sees a world that relieves car congestion and eliminates the use of fossil fuels. They can travel quietly with four passengers at 200 mph from one vertical port to another. Their zero-emissions air taxis will soon be operating in the Middle East, as Joby has partnered with Jetex.

Adel Mardini, Founder and CEO of Jetex said: “We are committed to driving innovation that reduces our industry’s environmental impact, and integrating Joby’s electric air taxis into our network allows us to deliver cleaner, quieter, and more sustainable travel experiences, starting in the UAE.”

JoeBen Bevirt, Founder and CEO of Joby, said: “With their strategically positioned terminals and focus on delivering unparalleled customer experiences, this collaboration is a significant milestone in advancing sustainable air travel in the region.”
