BeReal, as the name implies, builds upon its feature that asks users daily to take pictures of themselves and their environment and share them with close friends. Users often take the photos without prior notice and upload them within 2 minutes, to ensure more authenticity. BeReal is currently the 9th most popular social networking app worldwide, with over 5 million daily users. More than 3 million people downloaded the app between January and April 2022.
