Join us to applaud Los Angeles for devising an intelligent solution to make EV charging accessible to residents. The city EV chargers on streetlights, a strategy it started implementing in 2016 and intensified in 2019, after the launch of its sustainability program. LA now hosts over 430 EV chargers on city streetlights and said it would add 150 more yearly.
Los Angeles also has over 500 free charging stations and has exceeded its goal of 10,000 chargers by 2022 with almost 12,000. It is facing the next target of 25,000 chargers by 2025.
