Tesla has finally delivered the EV trucks to PepsiCo, which it would deploy them beginning now to convey foods and beverages to its customers across America. In 2017, the American multinational food & beverage corporation placed orders for 100 Tesla EV trucks, Semis, revealing its intention to electrify its delivery fleet then.
Beverage companies haven’t really been in front of electrification, and it wasn’t until last year that PepsiCo committed fully to addressing its environmental impact. The company will start with its Modesto and Sacramento locations in California, where it is collaborating with Tesla to install four 750-kilowatt charging stations to support EV charging.
