Flashback to Super Bowl Sunday in Phoenix. The AGREEN1 December 19 issue reported on autonomous taxis driving fans from the airport to State Farm Stadium, making it the first city worldwide to use self-driving EVs in its airports.
Waymo provided those autonomous EVs. With that success, on May 23 they signed a strategic partnership with Uber that is scheduled to launch this year. According to the website, Uber users can soon request a Waymo self-driving EV through their Uber app. That is a tremendous expansion opportunity for Waymo. The parent company of Waymo is Google (Alphabet).
