At the end of May, Korean auto manufacturer Kia helped the state of Georgia assemble its first EV, the Kia EV9. The SUV will likely qualify for the $7,500 Federal tax credit/price reduction now that it’s made in the United States.

The West Point, Georgia plant already builds three SUVs for Kia: the Telluride, Sorento, and Sportage models. The 2025 EV9 is the first all-electric vehicle to be manufactured in Georgia.
