In the middle of the year, electronics giant Sony and carmaker Honda announced their partnership to form an EV company to produce high-end EVs with advanced technology. The official joint venture is called Sony Honda Mobility Inc., and launched it last week. The new EV company will deliver its first EVs by 2026 in the U.S. and Japan. Eventually, they may bring their EVs to Europe too.
The chairman, Yasuhide Mizuno, said that the company will begin accepting preorders in 2025, all online.
