|Twitter users can no longer share images and videos of private individuals without their consent. The new policy was announced on November 30. The social media giant said the policy aims to protect private individuals, particularly women, dissidents, and members of minority communities. However, Twitter made some exceptions to the new policy. For example, Twitter will not take down images of private individuals in potential harm or crisis if sources share them to help the said individuals. The new policy is not applicable to public figures, such as celebrities and politicians.|
