Ford Motor is now collaborating with Nevada-based battery recycling startup Redwood Materials to create a closed-loop for battery recycling and a domestic supply chain for critical battery materials Redwood received a $50 million investment from Ford to help it expand the complex and expensive supply chain network, create pathways for end-of-life vehicles, ramp up lithium-ion recycling, and increase battery production in the United States.
