It’s turning into a charging party and Tesla is the humble host. Less than 2 weeks ago, GM followed suit behind Ford to adopt Tesla’s supercharging capability. Tesla’s charging connector, the North American Charging Standard now looks to be the dominant charging port.

NACS has beaten the competition, the Combined Charging System (CCS), and either has or will be adopted by EV charging stations: EVgo, Blink, ChargePoint, and Tritium. To the winner goes the spoils, and by sharing its proprietary charging system, Tesla can tap into $7.5 billion in federal subsidies. Sounds like a good move for the companies involving all shareholders and the EV evolution to a cleaner environment for all.
