It’s not here yet, but the Rivian EV R2 model can be reserved now for $100. It’s scheduled to be released in 2026 and has a base starting price of $45K.
The R2 SUV has an after-market treehouse rooftop tent that makes car camping fabulous. Based in Irvine, California, Rivian is looking to make driving EVs really fun and make surfing and camping very easy. The R2 comes equipped with the universal charging ports designed by Tesla called NACS.
