The long awaited approval came on July 9. A floating landing pad will be construction on the Seine River for the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. If all goes as planned, the landing pad will be removed soon after Dec 31, 2024.
Paris already has four “vertiports” for eVTOLs in the suburbs, and this will be the first inside the city proper. Accordingly, flights cannot exceed two per hour between 8AM to 5PM only. It will be a great opportunity to witness these new vehicles in action.
