EVs are still a curiosity to most drivers. AGREEN1 is here to help bolster your knowledge. The 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 6 EV has received terrific reviews from Car and Driver and is on the 2024 Editor’s Choice list. It has strong range, fast charging ability and is priced below $39K.
Adoption to EVs has taken longer than expected, as there is much to learn about this 21st Century form of mobility. Charging a battery is very different than filling a tank. Currently, EVs in general cost more than an ICE to buy, but cost much less than an ICE vehicle to operate.
In many ways, EVs are similar to our mobile devices, and battery knowledge is important. EV owners learn that charging an EV battery above 80% will make it degrade faster. EV owners also know that it’s best to not let the battery’s charge level go below 20% charge. Most EVs can be set to notify the owner will hitting either of those thresholds. Ask EV drivers if they are enjoying the change, and test drive one for yourself!
