AGREEN1 recently conducted an interview with Cynthia Salarizadeh, Founder and CEO of the luxury brand, House of Saka, an alcohol-free, cannabis-infused Napa valley wine. Cynthia is also Founder of a cannabis newswire called AxisWire, and Co-Founder of Green Market Media, which produces the Green Market Report, the Hemp Market Report, the Green Market Summit, and a technology that hasn’t been launched yet. Cynthia is also Co-Founder of a women’s network called Industry Power Women.
 

AG1: Cynthia, over seven years ago you chose to enter the cannabis industry on a “PR correction campaign” to debunk the Reefer Madness propaganda. Now fast forward to September 2021. Tell us about your THC infused product which is a “first to market” product.

CYNTHIA: Our brand, House of Saka produces THC infused wine from Napa Valley. We have Saka Pink, which is a gently carbonated infused wine made from pinot noir grapes. Saka White is made from chardonnay grapes. We also have Saka Spark, which is a mimosa beverage made with chardonnay grapes and essence of tangerine and orange blossoms. All are at least 70% organic, and procured from private wine dealers in the Napa Valley only. We wanted to create the most wonderful THC-infused, alcohol-free wine the world has ever tasted.

AG1: I have tried the Saka Spark Mimosa many times and it was delightful. Can you tell us how you create this product?

CYNTHIA: First, we select the premium wines and then remove all the alcohol and sugar from them. We craft our proprietary formulations of terpenes and THC from the cannabis plants and we infuse them with the wines. We do not add the sugar back into the infused beverages. The average glass of wine with alcohol and high sugar content is 140-160 calories. A House of Saka glass of wine is 14-16 calories.

AG1: Any last thoughts or comments from your lips to our readers ears?

CYNTHIA: Working in the cannabis industry at the decision-making level is a real source of pride. At House of Saka, we wanted to create a delicious, healthy, low-calorie, high percentage of organic materials, relaxing and no-hangover wine. We’ve done just that.

However, this industry is still very, very challenging to function in, due to the State of California being so delayed in issuing cannabis licenses. This almost 3 year delay makes the supply chain a real mess. Distribution is very slow because there are so few with licenses in the state. But it’s all worth it to be able to give people a more wholesome and healthy beverage option to relax with and to enjoy with friends and family.
