Cannabis Labor Union Benefits

The benefits of joining a labor union is that it provides some bargaining power, and the privilege to negotiate about any condition or situation that affects workers. Being part of a union offers protection from a long list of economic, emotional and professional abuses and bodily harm.

Now the cannabis industry is organizing. Over 10,000 cannabis workers have joined the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) union. The union will offer protection and support to cannabis workers in California, Colorado, Illinois, Florida, Rhode island, Maryland, D.C., New York, Massachusetts and New Jersey.
