Ever heard of the indie rock band, AJR? They are a band of three New York brothers who help their audiences become environmentally active at their concerts. That’s interactive!
For example, concertgoers took the time to craft nearly 700 letters to Utah law makers to halt the diversion of water from the Great Salt Lake, which is at dangerously low levels. Being below the healthy water level undermines the ecosystem of the GSL area and other parts of Utah.
AJR provided a QR code with a link to sign a petition about phasing out fracking at a concert in Denver. At their concert in Phoenix, over 1,000 demands were sent to the city council to take immediate action on extreme heat problems.
While at the band’s concert in Chicago over 200 attendees sent letters to state legislators urging them to find solutions for making a cleaner and more resilient power grid, and more. Love it!
