Were Lego blocks a fond part of your childhood? The Danish toy company has been delightfully growing its popularity since 1949. Those awesome interconnecting building blocks were made from plastic and Lego is on schedule to fabricate all it’s products using renewable and recycled materials by 2032.
Lego’s CEO said that over 50% of the resin it will use in 2026 will be from certified recycled or renewable materials. Lego’s competitors such as Mattel and Hasbro and also implementing the use of non-fossil (petroleum) materials. Mattel aims to be using 100% bio-based plastic or recycled materials by 2030.
